Hotel Rheingold - Bayreuth

The hotel offers a superb breakfast and is conveniently located close to the city center. The absence of a restaurant for lunch was disappointing.

By and large, it was charming place with courteous staff at the reception desk. Had great location close to town center.

Had excellent stay for a business trip, the staff were excellent, location was marvellous to the Festival area. The king room was new-fashioned, included a shower, a hair dryer and bath sheets. I appreciated having cereals and pastries in the morning. Location: the hotel was short walk to the center of town great restaurant friendly people, and various cafes. I visited Irish Pub Dubliner a short walk to the venue for a few drinks.

The staff was friendly, speaking perfect English and always willing to help. The hotel's proximity to the town center made it easy for us to explore local restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Breakfast was good, with a good variety that kept us energized for our trekking adventures.

The stay was a great choice for attending the Bayreuth festival. I appreciated the shuttle service that made getting to and from the opera so smooth. The small aperitif while waiting was a nice touch. Breakfast was impressive, with a variety of options that kept mornings enjoyable. The walking path by the river offered a pleasant way to explore the area. The atmosphere in the hotel could use a bit more warmth.

The breakfast buffet offers a rich selection. The hallway has a sterile atmosphere.

The staff was friendly and accommodations were adequate for my family, including two teens. We particularly enjoyed how close we were to the city center, made exploring the local culture and dining options easy.

My wife says that the shower's temperature fluctuated a bit too much.

Convenient Stay with a Few Drawbacks

Great location close to historical sites. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was satisfying. Dining options were limited after the festival. Ensure to order meals in advance if you plan on eating later in the day.

Cleanliness stood out, and the convenient location allowed for easy access to shops and the old town. Friendly staff was great, though the breakfast buffet could benefit from a broader selection, particularly more meats and cheeses. The air-conditioning in the room provided comfort during warmer days, but the lack of quick restocking during breakfast was a minor inconvenience.

Rheingold offers a shuttle service to the Bayreuther Festspiele, which includes a small aperitif while waiting. The hotel is conveniently close to the city center and lies near a pleasant walking/bike path along a river. The breakfast selection is abundant, and the front desk staff are efficient and available 24 hours.

Some rooms lack air-conditioning, which could be a disadvantage in summer.

The food is delicious with lots of options, including cereal and pastries. the setting is incredible and excellent, right by the Festspielhaus, the river, and the restaurant. They also have Eiscafe Gelati just a short walk away from the hotel, offering tea, coffee, and desserts.

The staff at Hotel Rheingold were extremely friendly and competent, always there to help. the hotel's location was magnificent and efficient, within walking distance from a shopping street and the main market.
